SafeNoter is free and open-source software, released under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3 (AGPL-3.0), with one additional term described below.

Author

SafeNoter was created by Yurii Herych (yura.gerich@gmail.com).

What the AGPL-3.0 means for you
Additional term: author attribution (AGPL-3.0 §7(b))

The AGPL-3.0 explicitly permits copyright holders to add a small number of specific, limited additional terms (AGPL-3.0 Section 7). SafeNoter adds exactly one: the attribution below must be preserved in any copy, modified version, or deployment of SafeNoter — including self-hosted installations — whether or not you have otherwise modified or rebranded it:

SafeNoter — originally created by Yurii Herych (yura.gerich@gmail.com).

This notice must remain visible in this License screen (or its equivalent) and in the project's LICENSE file. It may not be removed, hidden, or altered. This is the only restriction added beyond the standard AGPL-3.0 — everything else about your freedom to use, modify, and self-host SafeNoter follows the AGPL-3.0 exactly as written.

Full legal text

The complete, verbatim license — the AGPL-3.0 together with the full wording of the additional attribution term — ships with SafeNoter as the LICENSE file in the project's root folder, and is also available from the Free Software Foundation at gnu.org/licenses/agpl-3.0.html.
